About Me

It has always seemed natural to me to make doll clothes. When I first started at the age of eight, it meant gathering material scraps and tying them together for just the right look. Back then, Barbie was the hottest doll on the market and it was easy to create clothes with very little effort. When I retired in 2007, I needed an outlet to keep me busy, so I started selling at festivals featuring children's items. When I stopped doing festivals, I looked for something else I could accomplish that involved children and that is when I found American Girl Dolls. My brain starting clicking and I started designing. However, designing is not as easy as it used to be. Now, instead of sewing a few pieces of scrapes together, I plan, draw, and create pattern pieces that will generate the designs I want to make. I have over 40 years of combined experience sewing commercially and privately.

I not only design and handcraft special outfits for my shop, I also custom make outfits for others.  I can usually recreate an outfit from a picture that is submitted to me.  I cannot always match the materials exactly, but I can come fairly close.  I do not copy designs of others and any outfit requests will have a slight variation to it.

I especially love making historical clothing and hope to have more available as the year progresses.
