SPLISH SPLASH

These two words are almost always, associated with the word “water“.  Many scenarios come to mind.  I, for one, have always enjoyed watching children merrily playing in puddles of water left behind by a refreshing rain.  While others, enjoy watching children splashing playfully in a swimming pool, or in the ocean when they go to the beach.  But, the most common scenario, the one familiar to us all, is bath time.  Bath time can also mean different things to different people.  To some, it is a quick jump in the shower, while other’s like to take long luscious baths with bubbles, or bath oils.  Now, American Girl Dolls like to get refreshed by taking a bath in their Spa Bath Tub offered by "Nancy's Doll Closet"..  American Girl knows she cannot get wet, but she likes to sit inside her tub and pretend she is bathing.

AMERICAN GIRL 18 INCH DOLLS-SPA BATH TUBWith that being said, another scenario creeps into my memory.  I love to watch my granddaughter play with her American Girl Dolls.  After she gives them, their pretend baths, she dresses them for bed.  When she gently tucks them into bed for the night, she tells them how much she loves them and then kisses them goodnight.  It is moments like these that make me realize she will be a “good mother” one day.  I am proud to have been the one that introduced her to her “new experience” with her American Girl Dolls.

Do you have a "special experience" with American Girl that you would like to share?  Please feel free to leave me a comment as I would love to hear about it.

  2. My granddaughter doesn't have an American Doll yet. Her mom thinks she is too young. Viewing all the cool accessories and fabulous clothes you offer just makes me want to go out and buy her one. Maybe Christmas!

  3. Elaine, thank you for sharing. My granddaughter was eight years old when she got her first American Girl Doll. American Girl does offer another doll for the younger girls, called Bitty Baby. These dolls are also less expensinve to purchase. If you go to their online store http://www.americangirl.com you can view the selections for all of the dolls. Happy Shopping.

  4. My youngest grand daughter got her American Girl doll for her 6th birthday. She loves it and recently got another one as a "hand-me-down" Mom has made daughter and "Molly" matching outfits.

  5. Hazel, don't they look so cute when they are dressed alike. I have thought of making matching outfits for my granddaughter and one of her dolls, but I have not done so yet. Thank so much for sharing.
