The Perfect Pants

I am a country girl and have been one since birth.  Most of my mother’s side of the family have been farmers all of their life.  I was introduced to my first pair of denim jeans when I went to stay on my aunt’s farm during the summertime.
 When living, or working on a farm, you tend to buy clothes that are durable and inexpensive.  Yes, jeans were once considered “poor people’s clothes“.   But, as with any other type of apparel, time would cause jeans to become faded and rip from a lot of use and hard work.  But to me, it only made them more comfortable.

If for some reason you had to wear your ripped jeans in public, people would just stare at you with that OMG look on their face.  Now, people actually pay a lot of money to buy them that way.  Go figure.  Isn’t it amazing how the times change.  But, before the fancy labels, jeans were reasonably priced and hard to find.  I now counteract the high prices by shopping at an outlet mall not far from me and I like being the one to put in the rips and tears in them by wearing them.  At least  for once, I can be in fashion.

But, different strokes for different folks help to make the world go around.  Though I prefer my jeans, others prefer dress pants, or slacks, Capri pants, or shorts.
  I tend not to wear shorts out in public unless it is very hot.  And you guessed it, I have been wearing them a lot lately and don’t care how much my legs scare the public.  I want to be comfortable.  And that is what most of us want out of our clothing, to feel comfortable                         .
But dolls, you can put anything on them and they are happy, because their owner’s dress them to please themselves.   I have found that some adult doll collectors buy outfits for the current holiday and the changing of the seasons.  They like for their dolls to be properly dressed as they sit on the self.  Children on the other hand, tend to dress their dolls according to the adventure they have decided to take during their playtime.  But, if they are dressing them for the mood of the season, Nancy’s Doll Closet has a fancy summertime two piece pants set for sale.  The top is made from chiffon and satin.  The set is very pretty and well made.  This outfit is being modeled by 18 inch American Girl, Julie and will fit any of the other 18 inch American Girls.
