"QUILTS WITH COLOR"

Long before the comforter was created, another type of bed cover dominated.  It was the quilt.  When I talk to people about the two, most people still prefer the quilt.  It is better constructed and even warmer than a comforter and it does not slip off the bed while you are sleeping.  To me, there is nothing more beautiful  than a well constructed color coordinated quilt.  Most of them are full of colors.  Yes, they do take a long time to make, but the end result is worth it.  I once spent 3 months making one, but it was completely sewn by hand.  My friend’s mother loved it.  She would not use it, but made a place for it on her living room wall.  That makes all of your hard work worth while.  The quilts below are not my creation, but I wanted to share them with you.

I thought these were just beautiful.  So full of colors and so original.

We have quit a few crafters at our "Ecarter Stores Network".  And those that do not craft, sell crafting supplies.  We also have some that do both.  The store I want to share with you is called "Eccentric Thrifter" and she actually does both.  She recently listed a book for sale in her store that is called  Lullaby Quilts.

LULLABY QUILTS For Babies and Dolls Margaret BoylesI think this would be the perfect find for someone that loves quilting.  Baby quilts are just so precious and are not as time consuming to make as the large quilts.  She also has other crafting books available.  You should stop by her store and visit.  She would love to have you there.

  1. I do love quilts altho my own experiences have left me wanting. These are lovely examples. Thanks for featuring my book. If I had any hope of ever being able to really do a quilt I'd keep it for myself. It really is a good book!

    1. It was my pleasure to feature your book. I could tell from the cover, that it was worth featuring. I made a lot of quilts in my younger years, but I never got of pleasure of keeping one. I made them for other people while I was unemployed, so as soon as I finished one, I started another. I never got the big bucks most people do. I just wanted to keep the money coming in. Thanks for stopping by.
