"EYE OF THE STORM"

The eye of a hurricane is calm, but once you leave the eye, you encounter havoc as high winds and rain dominates the outer area.  As the northern eastern states buckled down the hatches for the impact of Hurricane Sandy, we in the south are thankful that we do not have to endure the hardships the northern states are going through.  They are expecting high winds, high water surges coming in off the ocean, and a lot of rain.  Having to deal with Sandy is enough, but she is going to merge with two other storm systems, one coming in from the west and one from the Artic.  The forecast calls for an inward effect of 500 plus miles. The areas that do not get rainfall will get snowfall.  The impact is expected to reach as far south as West Virginia where the mountains are expecting 2 to 3 feet of snow.

Here in Georgia we have been having wind gusts up to 30 miles an hour and a drop in the temperature by 20 to 30 degrees since late Friday.  However, this is only a taste of what they are going through in the north.  My prayers are with all of those suffering the impact of Sandy.  The severe change in the weather is telling me that it is time to bundle up because we are having an early winter.  My coat and gloves are on standby and American Girl Julie is getting ready for an early winter too.  She is bundling up in her Pink Toggle Jacket.  This hooded jacket is a very well made lined jacket.  It is just like one your daughter would wear.
