I looked up the definition to the word "lines" and found that there are at least 40 different usages of the word. The first thing that came to my mind was the lines of a good play, movie, or a book. And of course there are your favorite lines from your much loved TV shows. One of the programs that I used to enjoy watching was called “Maude”. She had her infamous line, “There is a thin line between love and hate, and you’re erasing it.” I have used this often in real life, because the statement is so true. My favorite line from a movie comes from “Gone With The Wind“. It is the last scene and poor Scarlet is beside herself, because she has just realized for the first time in her life she is going to be on her own, alone. She says to Clarke, “Rhett, where will I go, what will I do” and Rhett just looks at her and says, “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn“. You can see the tone in his eyes and on his face. What a way to end it all. And yes, I have used this line too.
Real life has so many up and downs that we rely on these types of things to get us by. Though fiction has its place in our lives, we also need reality to keep us on the straight and narrow “walking a straight line.” The only place I know of, where I can get the right inspirational advice is "The Bible”. There are as many versions of this book, as there are many versions to a story. But, it still provides us with the “guild lines” necessary to live a full and rewarding life. Nancy’s Doll Closet, sells clothing and accessories for American Girl Dolls and offers for sale a small version of the Bible. It is the perfect size for 18 inch dolls. Though the book is small, it has the complete writings of the New Testament along with pictures. I was amazed the first time I saw this one.
The bible comes with a small wooden cross necklace. If you have a need for more inspiration in your life, Ecrater Stores Network has a variety of sellers that can cater to your needs. They have books and movies to inspire you. If you get a chance, you should stop by for a visit. Who knows, you may find a “new line” to use in your perils of every day life.
