I shot an Arrow into the air
It fell to earth I know not where,
For so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.
I breath’d a Song into the air
It fell to earth, I know not where.
For who has sight so keen and strong
That it can follow the flight of a song?
Long, long afterward in an oak
I found the Arrow still unbroke;
And the Song from beginning to end
I found again in the heart of a friend.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882). When I saw our blogging theme for this week, this poem was the first thing that popped into my mind, so I decided I had to share it with you, since I have always a fan of Longfellow. I have always loved writing poetry, but mine was never as good as Longfellow’s. The passion I have for writing has been put into my store, Nancy’s Doll Closet. My store sells clothing and accessories for 18 inch American Girl Dolls. I love making the doll clothes I design, but I also offer manufactured clothing and accessories. So, if you ever have the time, it would be an honor to have you stop by. My online store is open 24/7.
Nutcracker Ballerina Set
Lovely poem, I was not familiar with it. This is a lovely outfit you chose.
