"AN ANGEL TO WATCH OVER OUR CHILDREN" VICKI SOTO

This is supposed to be a joyous time of year.  Christmas is just a little over a week away, yet instead of joy the nation is MOURNING.  Mourning for those that were lost this past Friday in Newtown Connecticut.  My heart is sick over this tragedy.  This senseless crime.  I have been on the verge of tears several times.  Earlier today, my 10 year old granddaughter and I were reading the updated news bulletin about the shooting and I had to hold her close to me.  Every minute that I did, I just kept thinking, my God, I am so grateful that it is not her that I am mourning for.
Later this afternoon, I read another news article about another part of the country.  Just hours before the Connecticut tragedy, a boy was arrested with intention to bomb his school.  According to the news, the boy was trying to enlist the help of some fellow classmates.  His plan, to lure other High School classmates into the auditorium and chain the doors shut and placing bombs in front of them.  Then, when the police arrived he was going to set off the bombs and shoot everyone inside.  I had to fight back the tears.  My God, what is this world coming to.  What is wrong with some our young people today.  With the absence of God the enemy is invading our schools.

I just read a statement on Face Book about a comment that Morgan Freeman made.  He says this keeps happening because these kids want recognition.  They want people to know their names, but we should not indulge them.  We should keep them out of the news and pretend they do not exist.  We should not give them their moment of fame. Though this shooter has taken his own life, there are others out there. He states, instead we should remember the victim’s names of this tragedy and forget the evil that took their life.
I give you this name, "Vicki Soto".  This courageous angel hid her first graders in the cabinets and closets of their classroom when she heard the gun fire.  When the gunman came to call, she told him the children had been moved to the gym, he just gunned her down and moved on.  She gave her life for her children and she should be remembered for her bravery.  She is in heaven now and truly an Angel  Watching Over Our Children.  Vicki, you are in our every thought and in our hearts.  We admire you for your strength and courage.  God will take care of you now.
