"OLD GLORY"

The word “sparkle” means 1. to give off sparks, 2. to give off or reflect flashes of light: glitter 3. To be brilliant in performance.  So, when I think of sparkle, I think of fireworks lighting up the sky.  Then, I think of the Star Spangled Banner and then, of course “Old Glory.”

We usually give thanks to our country on the 4th of July, but I wanted to take a moment now to say how proud I am to be an American.  Though our country has her faults, there is no place I would rather live, and no nationality I would rather be.  We are a compassionate, God fearing country.  So, in our country’s time of turmoil, I hope that everyone will take a moment just to say a prayer for those American’s that have suffered a tragedy in the past few months and for those less fortunate than ourselves.   Then, lets pray that the issues our country is facing right now can be resolved efficiently and effectively.
