Hot Weather

July is the heart of summer and there will be plenty of sunshine for all of us this week.  The sun's rays will be pounding us with temperatures between 90 and 100 degrees.  Yet, in some parts of the country this will be a cooling trend as parts of the nation hit record breaking temperatures of 100 plus this past week.  We may get an occasional thunder storm to cool things off for a minute, but we all know as the clouds depart us, the rain water evaporates quickly leaving us with hot muggy conditions.  So, as the sun bares down on us this week, we need to think COOL.                                                                                                                                                                        
                                                                                                                                                                       
To some that might be a scoop of your favorite ice cream, but to other's, it would mean the perfect vacation spot. While some may want to retreat to Alaska and jump from the frying pan into the freezer to pan for gold, others will be thinking more calmly about just being lazy. What could be a better place for being on the lazy side, then Hawaii. Just think of it, nice balmy breezes cooling your face as you sit on your nice confortable lounge chair, sipping your favorite tropical drink as you watch the tide roll in. 


                                                                            
The perfect vacation would not be "perfect" without suitable attire. So, one would need the perfect Hawaiian shirt and khaki pants. In my part of the country, Hawaiian shirts and good Hawaiian material is very hard to find. So, when the need arises, we visit the Eccentric Thrifter to find one. Who says one must spend a lot of money to look great.
