"Smile"

Smile and the whole world smiles with you, cry and you weep alone.  I found this to be so true.  Who wants to listen to a whiner?  In this day and time, we all have something to whine about, from high gas prices to high grocery bills.  Yet, some have far more serious problems facing them today.  My mother used to always say, “It was always darkest before the dawn“.  Our dawn can be something as simple as a reason to laugh.  Sure, it does not fix our problems, but it helps us to cope with them better.  Laughter is life’s best medicine and it begins with a smile.

When life’s trials and tribulations get me down, I try to think of something that makes my life worthwhile.  Lately, my thoughts are drawn to my 3 month old great grandson, Chase.  I love listening to him coo and it gives me a reason to “smile“.  And when he smiles, the darkness in my life seems to disappear.    

Babies are life’s little miracles that bring joy into our lives.  However, these little blessings need a lot of TLC.  TLC, not only means giving them all of the love they deserve, but also providing them with the necessities of life.
