"STRAWBERRIES"

My fruit of choice would have to be strawberries.  I love them and could eat my weight in them and I am a big women.  One of the reasons I love spring time so much, is that it is the season of the strawberry.  To me, there is nothing better than eating strawberries fresh from the vine.  Not only do I love fresh strawberries, I love strawberry jam, jello, and of course strawberry shortcake.  I have managed to pass my passion for the fruit onto my oldest daughter and granddaughter.  My oldest daughter was born with a strawberry shaped birth mark on the nape of her neck.  Some of my friends teased me that it was a sign that I ate too much of the fruit when I was carrying her and I totally agree.  

When children are lost in their world of pretend play, they often mimic what their parents instill in them though they may not realize it at the time.  Little girls love to have tea time and plan meals for their dolls.  My store, "Nancy's Doll Closet" has a variety of items a child can use for their pretend play while playing with their American Girl 18 inch dolls.  Kanani and her accessories were retired last year from the American Girl line, but I have a variety of items available for her at my store.  Kanani is special, because she is a native of Hawaii.  Of course, when I think of Hawaii, I think tropical, the land of roasted pigs and tons of pineapple (my second choice of fruit).  Though, I have not been able to find miniature pineapples just for her, I have put together a fruit set for her and yes, it does include a strawberry.  Kanani Fruit set
