The American Worker comes in many shapes, fashions, and forms. “Labor Day” is in honor of those Americans. The majority of the American work force today is in the retail business. I have always like to visit the locally owned businesses, some of us refer to them as the mom and pop establishments. There are not many around today, because the bigger businesses, such as Walmart, have managed to squeeze them out. But, they helped to establish this country through the labor of their hard work. To me, the locally owned businesses provide good products and customer service. They want you to be happy with their product for they value your business.
The larger companies could care less, because they think there is always someone else to take your place and buy from them. That is the reason they spend millions of dollars each year to reach the American public. But, the mom and pop businesses cannot operate that way. They put their blood, sweat, and tears into their business and depend on word of month for their advertising, because they cannot afford to pay for high cost advertising. Their profits are slim and it goes back into their business.
A place I wish I could visit and cannot because I live in a different state is a business called
"Halloween Bib" I found this cute bib at their online store.But, they also have a large inventory that caters to Weddings.
"Daughter of the Bride Tee Shirt"If I am ever in their neck of the woods, you can bet I’ll be stopping by to pay them a visit. In the meantime, for those of us that live out of state, we can always shop online.

DeleteNancy, I too like the mom and pop businesses and the excellent customer service you always get from them. I am old enough to remember the neighborhood stores where everyone new your name those are some happy memories from the past. Great post.
