What's New This Week

With Christmas just around the corner, now would be the perfect time to take out the sewing machine and get busy.  When my daughters were little, I busied myself with making Barbie clothes for their collection for each year my mother would buy them one or two more dolls.  Doll clothes have always been in low supply and hard to find regardless of the type of doll that you were purchasing.  Some of my daughter's dolls did not actually have any additional clothing for sale, nor were there patterns to choose from in order to make them.

So, I had to design and make any additional outfits.  Today, though doll clothes are hard to find in the retail stores, they can be purchased online for certain size dolls.  Still, the best sized doll to make clothes for is the 18 inch doll, which is American Girl, Tolly Tots, Battat, Gotz, and Madame Alexander. Nancy's Doll Closet offers patterns for sale for the 18 inch doll.  So, now would be a good time to start on that new wardrobe for your daughter's, or granddaughter's 18 inch doll.  I have added some new patterns to my store this week and wanted to share a couple with you.
