VETERANS DAY

Today it is officially Veterans Day.  State and Federal workers will be celebrating the holiday tomorrow.  The USPS will also be closed in honor of our Veterans.  Every day that I have a breath, I thank God for being born and raised in the USA.  I cannot imagine living in a country where you have to worry about being dragged out of bed in the middle of the night and shot.  We need to thank these men that serve our country and made it the land of the free, because without them, we would just be another horror story on the nightly news.  Take time to say a prayer for those that have given their lives,  and take time to do something for those that live.  They deserve our honor and respect for without them this country would be a dire place to live.I salute Chili's, Red Robin, Friday's, Olive Garden, Golden Corral, and others for providing our Veterans with a free meal.  Some of them will be providing free meals today and some tomorrow.  I have provided a link here (free meals for Veterans)  that shows the days each establishment will be giving free meals and the type of proof you will need.  Once again, I respect you and my hat is off to you for making this country a safe place to live and work.  May God be with you and keep you safe.  Job will done.

  1. Lovely post, I did think of my dad who served in WWII on this day. We should all say our prayers.

    1. My father also fought in WWII. My mother said he was never the same when he returned from action. Strange how people do not know how much this effects our men. They really deserve our respect and prayers. Thank you for taking the time to share.
