"WATCHING THE WIND BLOW BY"

This week has marked a noticeable change in the weather for a lot of us.  While Hurricane Sandy hammered our northern states, we in the south had to deal with overcast skies, high winds, and dropping temperatures.  Both due to Sandy, but we were luckier in the south than our northern sisters and brothers.   30 mile an hour winds and thirty degree weather is certainly easier to deal with than raging waters flowing down your street knocking cars around like they were toothpicks in a wind storm.  News coverage of the event has made me almost cry.  Some people seem to be coping, while others are lost in need of severe help.  FEMA and Homeland had not arrived yet as of 11:00 pm last night.  They were expected to arrive today.

Though I do not have a lot, this week has made me appreciate the little I have and grateful not to have lost it.  Most of all, thankful that Sandy did not personally visit here.  At this point, I kind of feel guilty.  I sat in my living room this week working on Halloween costumes and watched the wind blow by.  Every time I had to go outside,  only thing crossed my mind, “Gee I wish I had one of Eccentric Thrifter’s hats“.   She crochet all of her hats.  I found this one in her store that I really like. Red Sparkles Crocheted hat.  She also has others to choose from.  With the change in the weather, it is time to curl up with a good book or movie and dress more warmly.  Our Ecarter Stores Network has a variety of stores that have a lot of these items available for purchase.  You should take a moment and stop by.
